Corporate Affiliate

For companies not traditionally considered “direct sellers” and currently unaffiliated with DSA to participate as affiliates, e.g., “gig” companies (though not limited to these).

  • Companies would be eligible for participation based on their use of independent contractors and dependence upon a technology platform rather than face-to-face contact. Allow access to relevant Association resources: .i.e., legal and regulatory information related to independent contractors and industry research.
  • A limited number of company executives would be eligible to participate in DSA educational offerings at active member company rates. Executives would be eligible to participate on  relevant Association committees and councils (i.e., Government Relations Committee).
  • No review of the company would be required. There would be no public listing of the company name, nor would the use of the DSA logo be permitted. Companies would not be subject to the requirements of the DSA Code of Ethics.
  • Companies otherwise eligible for DSA membership would not be eligible for participation in this category.

Associate

An opportunity for participation for unaffiliated direct selling executives providing access to specific defined DSA resources:

  • DSA Digest & Direct Selling Journal,

  • access to industry research, and
  • member rates for attending in-person meetings.

Individuals would be eligible based on their previous relationship and involvement with a direct selling company. Only a cursory review of the individual would be required. • online learning opportunities,
  • access to industry research, and
  • special rates for attending in-person educational meetings.

These associates would not be eligible to participate in DSA committees or councils. No review of the individual would be required. There would be no public listing of individual executives nor would the associate be permitted to use the DSA logo. Associate status would be limited to 12 months.
