On February 20, United States Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) visited The Pampered Chef in Addison, IL. The Congressman received an introduction on the history of Pampered Chef during a tour of Heritage Hall, viewed the test kitchen where employees were testing new products and saw the distribution center which sends products to customers and consultants around the country. Laura Teele, a Pampered Chef independent consultant and constituent also joined the visit and told her story about the importance of being an independent contractor.

The Congressman asked such insightful questions – and understands the value of entrepreneurs! I hope he was able to walk away with a better understanding of how important this flexible business model is to our consultants as he considers future legislation that could impact consultants like Laura and so many others.”
