Across America, millions have made that same decision, exercising the right to choose independence and build business on their own terms.

Today, as that right is being discussed in Washington and in statehouses across the country, your voice is important. 

DSA is collecting stories from direct sellers like you to share:

  • Why you chose independence and direct selling
  • What your decision has made possible

The following are suggestions for recording your video in an easy and casual style:

  • Use your smartphone. Film in vertical format
  • Find a white or simple background for the video.
  • Find good light. Facing a window is ideal.
  • Keep it steady. Prop your phone or hold it at eye level.
  • Speak naturally. Think “conversation with a friend.”
  • Stay between 30 and 45 seconds. Clear and simple is best.
  • No need to be perfect. Authenticity is the point.

I hereby grant the Direct Selling Association (DSA) permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration.

I understand and agree that all photos will become the property of DSA and will not be returned.

I hereby irrevocably authorize DSA to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo.

I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge DSA from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.

I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE PHOTO RELEASE. I AFFIRM THAT I AM AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE, OR, IF I AM UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE, I HAVE OBTAINED THE REQUIRED CONSENT OF MY PARENTS/GUARDIANS AS EVIDENCED BY THEIR SIGNATURES BELOW.
